NUPI Piping

NUPI has been a recognized global leader for the last 35 years in the development and production of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) thermoplastic piping systems for plumbing and natural gas applications.

Smart Conduit

Heavy Duty Fuel Resistant Conduit

The SmartConduit series is a non-hydroscopic composite piping system designed to contain electrical and communication cables in hazardous, high groundwater or hydrocarbon-rich environments.

The polyamide liner, while providing a chemical barrier against hydrocarbons, facilitates the insertion of cables due to its low-friction internal surface thus allowing for lubricant-free installations.

Pipe sizes rang from OD 25mm to OD 110mm and are available in coils or straight lengths. A full range of mechanical ot electro-welding fittings completes the SmartConduit impermeable system including secure sealed end fittings and entry boots.

The possibility to use continuous lengths of SmartConduit pipe makes conduit installation quick and safe. The chemical resistant barrier provided by the SmartConduit high performance liner allows its burial at critical sites such as gas stations, refineries, power plants etc.

Smartflex

Smartflex is a complete system for the transfer of automotive fuels and hazardous fluids. A system already used and approved by major international petroleum companies, in response to whose needs it has been conceived, developed, realized and successfully launched onto the market by NUPI and NUPI alone.

Cutting-edge technology that aids cost-cutting

The key substance employed in the production of Smartflex pipes is high-density polyethylene (HDPE) which, apart from its working benefits to the user, is a more cost-effective solution than more traditional materials. All Smartflex piping consists of a composite-wall lined product which, by combining the excellent mechanical properties of HDPE with the low permeability and high resistance to hydro-carbons of a new class of polimers, creates a level of hydro-carbon compatibility unobtainable by other fuel pipes on the market.

Typical Applications include Hydrocarbons conveyance at:

  • Gas stations: product delivery lines, filling lines, vapor recovery lines, vent lines
  • Refineries: transfer lines
  • Tank farms: transfer lines
